AWOL: I have 3 pieces hanging at AWOL Gallery’s 8th Annual Square Foot show. The number of pieces the gallery has put on display means that the show is now held at 2 different locations – the original AWOL Gallery at 76/78 Ossington, and a large space at 100A Ossington on the 2nd floor.
The artwork runs from sketchy through to wonderful. I saw a lot of light humour along with a staggering array of imaginings and possibilities, all expressed within the bounds of a 12″ x 12″ work piece that is less than 5″ deep. Check it out.
The Distillery: This September I’m showing at the Distillery’s Art and Artisan’s Show. The show is running from September 3 through 6, 11 am to 6 pm. Located at 55 Mill Street near King St. East and Parliament in the historical Distillery District in Downtown Toronto.
This is my very first outdoor show, so there ought to be a steep learning curve and a few curves thrown at me that I’ll need to deal with. Look for Mark Johnson Wonder & Whimsy. I will be at booth E12 with my drawings, paintings and art cards.
