I wonder if I can pin this to the top of my blog page. Probably I can, we shall see. I think it would be interesting to post the occasional photo of whatever I’m caught up with on my easel or on a drawing board or in a sketchbook or whatever. Just all in fun, I’ll put a date, the image I took with my phone, and maybe a word or two about any thoughts of the day. Here goes today.

Killarney Dreams 3 – acrylic on stretched canvas, 30″x24″
It was a day of consolidation, adding to the bottom part with red, orange and blue. A bit of rain would go on for a while, which had a lovely sound to it, I kept the studio door shut and the skylight open. I put on a YouTube audiobook that has a nice turn of phrase. “The Steel Remains” part 1, by Richard K Morgan. I hope it doesn’t get too dark, the bones of the story seem like they are shaped so, as the story is opening up on the harder parts of a hard life in a rather dynamic environment, shared with a casually cynical, humorous, visceral and impactful tone.
