There are depths, and depths.
This piece was as much an exploration of the process of drawing as it was a meditation on what constituted a viewpoint of “surface” in relation to “all that was there”. This meditation included the viewpoint of a point in time as opposed to the flow and weave that time and space are for me. It may be worth noting that “Depths” was one of two sustained drawings I made while living with and caring for my elderly parents as my father was in the end stages of a long and fruitful life.
